At the municipality
Registration on the municipal register, residency certificates, minor works permits and planning information are handled by the relevant municipality.
Each municipality has its own hours and requirements. Check its website before going.
At the regional government
Health, education, housing and environment matters are handled through the regional government's online services, with appointments where needed.
Many procedures require a digital certificate or Chave365.
Personal documents
ID cards and passports are issued by appointment at designated offices. Foreign visitors should contact their country's representation.
