Miradoiro de Chanteiro
An open view over the mouth of the estuary, with San Felipe opposite and Mugardos to the left.
Chanteiro is a low peninsula on the south shore of the estuary, with a beach and lanes climbing to the high ground. From there you see the whole mouth of the ria.
It is a quiet spot, ideal at sunset and for grasping the scale of the estuary. It is easy to reach from Ares, with parking around the church.
