Coastal range
Serra da Capelada
A ridge falling into the Atlantic with cliffs over 600 metres high, between Cedeira and Cariño.
A Capelada is one of Galicia's most spectacular landscapes. The ridge, covered in gorse and pasture, ends sheer above the sea with a drop that impresses from any angle.
The road across it links Cedeira and Cariño and passes viewpoints such as Herbeira. Give it time, stop often, and be careful with wind and fog.
