Castelo de Andrade
A medieval tower above Pontedeume, the only remnant of the Andrade family castle.
Andrade castle was built in the 14th century as the fortified home of the family that ruled the town. Only the tower survives of the original walls, restored in the 20th century.
From the top you see the Eume bridge, the estuary and the old town. A short stop that helps explain Pontedeume's strategic role on the road between Ferrol and Betanzos.
