Castelo de Moeche
A medieval fortress rebuilt after the Irmandiño revolts, in the rural heart of Ferrolterra.
Moeche castle is one of the few baronial castles left in the district. Its story is tied to the 15th-century Irmandiño revolts, when peasants stormed and wrecked fortresses like this one.
The later rebuild left the layout you see today: wall, tower and courtyard. Each year the Festa Irmandiña re-enacts the events with a market and historical displays.
