Fene

A municipality with an industrial and seafaring past, and the Belelle waterfall as its great natural surprise.

Fene grew around the shipyards and the estuary, with parishes such as Perlío, Maniños and Barallobre. Today it mixes that industrial past with a quiet shoreline and a green river interior.

The Belelle river drops from the wooded hills to the sea, forming a waterfall a few minutes from the centre. The surroundings keep old mills and riverside woodland that contrast with the port landscape.

Getting there

On the north shore of the estuary, between Ferrol and Cabanas, with its own AP-9 exit.
